Overview
The Huron, part of the Indians of North America series, presents a fascinating portrayal of the history and culture of these native people. The Huron Indians traditionally lived in present-day Ontario, Canada. Highly spiritual, the Huron were generous with their friends, but fierce warriors when confronted by enemies. The tribe, now sometimes called Wyandot, were weakened by European diseases and lost their homeland to conquering tribes. They still struggle today to keep their civilization alive.
