The Evolution of Government and Politics: Italy provides an opportunity to explore the government and political structure of Italy and how the nation's government evolved and changed through history. This book discusses issues such as the recent grand coalition government, debt, world wars, the Vatican, changing international policy, and other historical events. The young reader is encouraged to analyze past events and draw conclusions about how outside factors modified Italy's political system and world influence. The Italy title has been developed to address many of the Common Core specific goals, higher level thinking skills, and progressive learning strategies from informational texts for middle grade and junior high level students.
