Established in 1964, Tianjin Municipal Archives possesses a collection of 1,200 fonds and more than 1.7 million volumes of archives. The earliest historical document it holds is a real estate deed dating back to 1620 AD. Some of its most prominent collections include the archives of Tianjin Chamber of Commerce and the Maritime Customs of Tianjin.
