A Study of the Scientific Outlook on Development Theory and Practice

Yan Zhimin is a professor and Ph.D. supervisor at the School of Marxism, Peking University, as well as the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He is also a member of the Expert Advisory Group of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, a member of the Marxism-Leninism, Philosophy and Social Sciences Review Committee for the 11th Five-Year Plan of the National Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences, the vice-president of the Chinese Association of Scientific Socialism, and honorary president of the Beijing Association of Scientific Socialism. His main research and teaching areas include scientific socialism, Deng Xiaoping Theory and other theories related to building socialism with Chinese characteristics, and the United Front theory.; Wang Shoulin is a professor at the Air Force Command College, a distinguished research fellow at the Academy of Military Science of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, National Defense University, and Peking University, as well as the deputy director of the Air Force Anti-Corruption Research Center. He also serves as a review expert for Projects sponsored by the National Social Science Foundation of China, and is a member of the Executive Council of the Chinese Association of Scientific Socialism, and the vice-president of the Beijing Association of Scientific Socialism. His research focuses on democracy and rule of law, and power restraint and supervision.
