Johnson Presidency Administrative Histories: Science and Technology

Throughout his political and presidential career, LBJ had supported the Space Program. This collection provides insight into the role and effectiveness of science and technology in the 1960s, and its importance to the Federal Government and the American people. The collection includes the records of: Atomic Energy Commission; Federal Power Commission; National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA); National Aeronautics and Space Council; National Council on Marine Resources and Engineering Development; National Science Foundation (NSF); Office of Science and Technology; and Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA).
