Laura Spelman Rockefeller Memorial Collection: Series 3: Appropriations, 1917-1945
The Laura Spelman Rockefeller Memorial (LSRM) was formed in 1918 by John D. Rockefeller and was named for his late wife. Intended to contribute to improvements in education, public health, and social welfare, the LSRM operated from Mr. Rockefeller's office until Beardsley Ruml was named director in 1922. While the LSRM sponsored research, its officers made grants for the application of newly gained knowledge.
The Appropriations Series is arranged into ten subject subseries:

Materials are arranged alphabetically by subject within each subseries. Subjects include individual appropriations as well as organizations declined funding. Materials throughout the collection include correspondence, charts, maps, books, clippings, reports, and photographs.
