The Life and Times of Detective Jonas V. Brighton (Book 3)
Jonas V. Brighton attempts to lead a quiet life, but his past reputation as a shootist Texas stock detective is revealed, and he is recruited to help rid northeastern Arizona of the desperados who plague it. He finishes his days in Arizona as a special deputy United States marshal and relocates to California's Central Valley. In California, J.V. is recruited to help capture California's most notorious outlaw of the day, Chris Evans. Subsequently, J.V. is a detective in L.A., then retires to Orange County where his wife dies, and ten years later his days are ended.
